The Washington Redskins have touched down in Minneapolis ahead of their Thursday Night Football with the Minnesota Vikings. Before takeoff they got in the last practice of the abbreviated week, which Adrian Peterson was able to take part in. Peterson will get to take on his former club alongside QB Case Keenum. On the other side of the ball former Redskins' QB Kirk Cousins awaits, and Wednesday he reflected fondly on his time in the nation's capitol.

Among the story lines to keep an eye on Thursday Night will be those reunions as well the Redskins' ability to stop Dalvin Cook and the Vikings' run game. The Vikings will be without Adam Thielen, so Stefon Diggs will special attention from the Redskins' stellar defensive backfield. The final injury report of the week lists Josh Norman as questionable, but he Quinton Diggs and Landon Collins are fully healthy. Norman, while questionable to play was able to give a tour of his house, and he is living well.

Kirk Cousins does need extra motivation as he aims to lead the 5-2 Vikings to their fourth consecutive win, but facing off against his former squad will surely be special. Along with the Cousins side of things, both Adrian Peterson and Case Keenum will get their shot at their former squad, the Vikings. The all time series, and Adam Thielen's anticipated absence are also of note.

Cousins hasn't forgotten who gave him is shot, who drafted him as he sat wondering when and if his name would be called, and who stood by him when he started 2-4; the Redskins. Without the opportunity he got in Washington he wouldn't be where he is now, both in rank and bank, and he knows it.

Dalvin Cook leads the league in rushing through Week 7. Not Todd Gurley, not Ezekiel Elliott, Dalvin Cook. The Vikings' dynamic running back has dominated all season long and the the Vikings will look to continue that trend on Thursday night. One problem; the Redskins are equipped to stop him. The Redskins defensive line is healthy and full of high-talent guys that are playing good football for interim head coach Bill Callahan.

"He’s one of the finest backs I’ve seen in the league," Callahan said of Cook, who the Redskins will see a lot of Thursday night in Minnesota. "We’ve got a ton of respect for him, and he’ll be quite the challenge.”

The Redskins and Trent Williams are at an impasse. Williams will not report the Redskins, and the team will not trade him during the 2019 season, (or so they say). The Cleveland Browns are rumored to be interested in Williams, and they don't appear to be too shy about it. They're asking Bruce Allen to dance but he's holding onto his wallflower label with a tight grip. While they prefer Williams, the Browns will have to soon move on to other options if nothing comes together with the Redskins. Other options include Nate Solder and a depth player from the Eagles.

Redskins and Vikings Injury Report :: John Keim

Wednesday was the last day of practice before the Redskins departed for Minnesota, and the only change to the practice report was a former Viking, Adrian Peterson who got in a "Limited" participation session. Peterson has said all week he plans to play, and that appears in line with the Redskins' plans following Wednesday's activity.
