Kyle Shanahan sounds like he's looking forward to taking his former employer, the Washington Redskins in Week 7. The 5-0 San Francisco 49ers roll into Landover looking to build on their fantastic start. The Redskins plan is to start Case Keenum, but the veteran quarterback got a day off Wednesday giving Dwayne Haskins an opportunity to get under center with the first team offense and reports are he looked good.

Landon Collins took home NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors following his big game against the Dolphins in Week 6. He and CB Quinton Dunbar continue to dominate in the back end of the Redskins defense. Trent Williams trade thoughts pop up again. Derrius Guice and his surgically repaired right meniscus pop up as well...at a Nationals game; NLCS Game 4 to be exact.

Kyle Shanahan reflects upon his time in Washington :: 95.7 The Game

The famous line from Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) on That 70's Show comes to mind. "Burn!" The following video is a cold burn, a direct hit to the heart. Why? Because there's no doubt it's 100% true. The Redskins have let more than a few offensive masterminds out of the building, and the younger Shanahan seems happy he to be gone.

In a planned day off for Case Keenum, Haskins took advantage and ran with the 1's. Reports indicate that the rookie showed improvement versus his in-game play this season. The transition to Haskins as starting QB is likely to happen at some point during the 2019 season, a good day of work helps to steel that plan.

Redskins: Three potential Trent Williams trade package ideas as deadline approach :: Riggo's Rag

Trade ideas pieced together include sending Williams to New England for a 1st-round pick, Cleveland for a 1st-rounder and David Njoku (good luck), and to the Seahawks for 1st and 6th-round picks. If Williams wants to play next year, he'll likely get a say in where he goes, since he can simply chose not to show up if he was traded somewhere unpalatable. With the NFL trade deadline fast approaching on Oct. 29, stay tuned.

Derrius Guice: "World Series baby" :: Derrius Guice

Guice has taken to the Nationals, frequently tweeting out support for the home-team throughout the playoffs. During Tuesday's Game 4 of the NLCS, Guice was in attendance, and according the Redskins' running back, it was "electric."
