With his favorite college basketball team coming to town for March Madness, Tony Romo took full advantage of the opportunity.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS commentator was on hand at American Airlines Center for Friday night's Sweet 16 matchup between the Duke Blue Devils and the Houston Cougars. After an intense defensive game, Romo (and his sons) watched as his fourth-seeded Blue Devils upset the Cougars, the top seed in the South region. The win marked Duke's first victory over a higher-seeded team in 30 years and advanced them to the Elite Eight for the second time in three seasons.

After the game, Romo stopped by the Duke locker room to congratulate head coach Jon Scheyer and his team.

“I’m a Duke fan, just to give you a heads up,” Romo said to the Duke players in the locker room. “While you guys were in diapers, I was teaching [Duke coach Jon] Scheyer how to play basketball.”

Next up, the Blue Devils face the No. 11 seed NC State Wolfpack on Sunday night, also at American Airlines Center. After witnessing the previous game, Romo has complete faith in Duke to pull off the win and advance to the Final Four.

“I won’t miss that one,” Romo said. “If you play defense like that and box out like that, you ain’t losing.”
