Cowboys Scouting Top 10 EDGE Rushers: Who Can Help Micah Parsons in NFL Draft?

No, Dallas isn't going to chase the top edge rushers like Will Anderson of Alabama and Tyree Wilson of Texas Tech. But ...

FRISCO - Let's make one thing clear as we see NFL Draft mock attempts rule out the Dallas Cowboys selecting an edge rusher "because they already have Micah Parsons.''

That's not the way the Cowboys look at the position, which they value greatly ... and it's not the way the Cowboys look at Micah, who they value greatly.

In short, Parsons' talents and versatility mean that if Dallas could find Micah 2.0, it'd be a gold mine. In fact, there is probably room on this roster for three or more more Micahs.

Having said that ... our colleague John McMullen asked three former NFL scouts for their top 10 at the position and came up with a cumulative list. No, Dallas isn't going to chase the top edge rushers like Will Anderson of Alabama and Tyree Wilson of Texas Tech. But is there a player on this list who can play defensive end and help a position group that is led by DeMarcus Lawrence and Parsons? Let's see ...

1. Will Anderson, Alabama

2. Tyree Wilson, Texas Tech

3. Nolan Smith, Georgia

4. Lukas Van Ness, Iowa

5. Myles Murphy, Clemson

6. Keion White, Georgia Tech

7. Will McDonald, Iowa State

8. Adetomiwa Adebawore, Northwestern

9. BJ Ojulari, LSU

10. Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Kansas State

We will suggest that Keion White and Adetomiwa Adebawore are among these names that are on the Cowboys' radar ... and that again, if you examine Dallas' history of talent-grabbing at this position, it's a "more-the-merrier'' approach.
