Hooker Wedding: Cowboys Guests Celebrate Malik & Dayonna Nuptials

The Dallas Cowboys are well-represented at the wedding of safety Malik Hooker.

Malik Hooker isn't a free agent until 2027, but he's officially off the market.

The Dallas Cowboys safety married Dayonna Dixon over the weekend, securing the first ring of his professional career. Dixon is a former track-and-field athlete in her native Maryland, starring at Wise High School.

A multi-picture post on Hooker's Instagram page featured the defender well-flanked by his Cowboys teammates from the past and present, confirming the attendance of at least Dorance Armstrong, Anthony Brown, CJ Goodwin, Ezekiel Elliott, Neville Gallimore, Jayron Kearse, Jourdan Lewis, Tony Pollard, Juanyeh Thomas, and Donovan Wilson.

Hooker, 27, entered the league as a first-round pick with the Indianapolis Colts in 2017. Exiled from Circle City after suffering a torn Achilles in his fourth season, Hooker signed with the Cowboys in 2021 and managed to play his way into a two-year extension. His subsequent play, which included a career-best 62 tackles and three interceptions in 2022, earned him another three-year deal, one set to potentially keep him in Dallas through 2027.

"I remember when he came to us in training camp and getting going coming off the injuries, and once he was able to get himself healthy, he's been so consistent," Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said after the ink dried on Hooker's latest extension last summer. "He carries a lot of weight in the locker room. He's extremely respected by his teammates, and he's an incredible football player. You see the range that he has and his ball skills."

"He's an exceptional athlete that does a great, great job commanding the back end for us."
