NFL Power Rankings: Dallas Cowboys Bye Week Helps vs. Eagles & 49ers?

The Dallas Cowboys were idle last week in the NFL, but there was plenty of movement from the teams around them. How do the Power Rankings now look?

The Dallas Cowboys may not have played this week, but the NFL power rankings picture shifted yet again after the Week 7 action.

The Cowboys held tight at No. 6 in CBS Sports' power rankings released this week, but there were multiple moves from teams that directly impact Dallas' season moving forward. The Philadelphia Eagles moved up three spots to No. 2 on the list after their win over the Miami Dolphins, and the San Francisco 49ers dropped one spot to No. 5 after their Monday night loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Here's the publication's excerpt on Dallas. ... 6. Dallas Cowboys They went on the bye after beating the Chargers on the road, which had to give this team life. Is this the point when they really start to play well?

It has been an up-and-down campaign thus far in Arlington as the Cowboys hold a record of 4-2 entering Week 8. Dallas has looked strong against the likes of the New York Giants, New York Jets and New England Patriots, but it laid an egg against the Arizona Cardinals and aforementioned 49ers.

Last Monday's win over the Chargers was not pretty by any means, but the Cowboys did just enough to escape L.A. with a win. Ironically, Dallas will face the other Los Angeles team this week at home as they look to carry on the momentum that came with the Chargers win.

The Cowboys will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at AT&T Stadium, and kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. CT on FOX. ... with Dallas hoping to show off some "power'' not just in the rankings, but also on the field.
