Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn't yet have any creative answers as it regards the finalization of contract extensions for Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and others.

But he does have a creative way of expressing his level of patience.

“Picture you were a driver of a car and you had a wreck and your hand was almost severed off, but you didn’t understand your anatomy,” Jones said this week at training camp in Oxnard. “You look down, you’re spurting blood, you open the door, and run to the woods and either die bleeding to death or shock.

“The educated man looks down, knows his anatomy, squeezes and knows his best chance is to wait for help. That’s because he’s been there a lot and done that. So I’m squeezing and waiting for help.”

Some might argue that it's Dak and Zeke who are doing the squeezing, the QB by supposedly asking for $40 million APY (a number I do not buy) and the running back by hanging in Mexico holding out. Without question, though, Jones' penchant for "word salad'' is worth a headline or two. (FULL Jerry video:  https://www.dallascowboys.com/video/executives-jerry-jones-a-4th-big-contract : .)

Or three, as in addition to “squeezing and waiting for help,'' he's also happy to compare Zeke's locale in Cabo to where the Cowboys will be this weekend, opposing the Rams in Hawaii.

"You can get wet in both of them,'' said Jones, laughing and then pulling the plug on any further analogies.
