The Chicago Bears’ defense gets all the acclaim, but for one half, it was the Eagles’ defense that was unmovable.

The unit held the Bears to only one first half in the first two quarters and it didn’t come until there were 48 seconds left in the first half. Chicago had just nine yards of total offense.

Meanwhile, the Eagles’ offense put up two field goals and a 25-yard touchdown from Carson Wentz to tight end Zach Ertz to grab a 12-0 lead at the intermission.

Wentz was 14-for-28 for 128 yards in passing with the one touchdown, which was his 15 of the season. He has now thrown a touchdown in 12 straight games.

Wentz and Seattle’s Russell Wilson entered the weekend with the longest active streak for consecutive games with a TD pass at 11.

The Eagles had 81 yards rushing, a week after putting 218 in a win at Buffalo. Jordan Howard had nine carries for 27 yards with Miles Sanders adding five for 29.

But it was the defense that grabbed the headlines.

Brandon Graham notched his sixth sack of the season as the Eagles sacked Chicago quarterback Mitch Trubisky three times.

Josh Sweat was credited with a sack, the second of his career, and Genard Avery, acquired earlier in the week in a trade with the Cleveland Browns, shared a sack with safety Malcolm Jenkins.

The Eagles forced the Bears into three-and-out possessions on their first four possessions, marking the first time an Eagles defense has done that since Nov. 23, 2014 against the Tennessee Titans.
