NFL Mock Draft: Eagles Pick Slot Confirmed, Secondary Help Coming?

The Philadelphia Eagles need to address their secondary in the offseason.

The Philadelphia Eagles are beginning their offseason, and with their elimination at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, they now know where they will be in the first round draft order.

The Eagles are slated to pick at No. 22 in the first round of April's draft. There are a couple of different positions they could address to start their 2024 draft class, but there arguably isn't one more important than cornerback.

Quinyon Mitchell Marvin Harrison Jr.

The Athletic suggests that the Eagles could take a look at Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell with the No. 22 selection.

"The MAC has produced several top-20 picks over the years (Khalil Mack, Ben Roethlisberger, Randy Moss). But the conference hasn’t had a top-25 cornerback since the ’70s," The Athletic writes. "That might change in April with Mitchell, who is 6-foot-1, 200 pounds and will test in the 4.3s in the 40-yard dash."

Mitchell may not be super familiar to many because he plays in the MAC instead of in a bigger conference, but he is considered to be one of the high-risers of this year's draft class amongst the cornerbacks.

Mitchell is the fourth cornerback off the board after Alabama's Terrion Arnold (No. 11), Clemson's Nate Wiggins (No. 15) and Iowa's Cooper Dejean (No. 20). Alabama's Kool-Aid McKinstry was also deemed a first-round pick at No. 26.
