Eagles Brazil Game To Stream on Peacock, Local Fans Will Have Options for Viewing

The Philadelphia Eagles will be making history at the start of next season when they play in the NFL's inaugural Brazil game in Week 1. Their opponent will be revealed at a later date.

To add to the uniqueness of the season-opening match, the game will be streamed on NBC's Peacock, the league announced Tuesday. Fortunately, Eagles fans in the Philadelphia market will be able to watch the game on their local NBC affiliate.

The game will be played on Friday, Sept. 6 of opening weekend next season. It will also count as a home game for Philadelphia.

When the Eagles were announced as the "home" team for the Brazil game last month, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell called it an "expansion of our global footprint."

“This landmark first international game in South America demonstrates the ongoing expansion of our global footprint," Goodell said. “Playing on Friday night of Week 1 is a unique way to highlight our international growth and ambitions."

This game marks one of five contests for the 2024 NFL's International Games. The league has already hosted matchups in Germany, Mexico City and most often London, something that will continue next season. The Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears will all host games in London while the Carolina Panthers will host one in Munich, Germany.
