Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has built a reputation for his unwavering engagement in the trade market and his consistent ability to secure favorable deals. However, in light of this, a rival general manager recently revealed that they need to exercise caution whenever Roseman initiates a deal.

During a recent appearance on the "Green Light Podcast with Chris Long," New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis was asked whether there is a particular coach or executive with whom he needs to be careful when conducting business, and the first individual who came to his mind was Roseman.

“Well I think Howie Roseman is one of those guys, he’s very smart,” Loomis said. “Look, Howie and I have done some deals in the past. He’s really a bright guy. He’s done a great job in Philly. But he’s also one of those guys where I have to keep both hands in my back pockets when I’m talking to Howie. And I mean that in the most complimentary way.”

Long then asked Loomis about how the experience of doing business with Roseman compares to dealing with New England Patriots coach and general manager, Bill Belichick.

“It’s all business (with Belichick). But Bill’s really straightforward and I appreciate that about him. He’s really straightforward about what he wants, and what he’ll do, and if it works great, if it doesn’t, he’s fine with that. So I like doing business with those guys," Loomis said.

Roseman and the Eagles are not currently scheduled to face Loomis and the Saints this season, but a potential playoff matchup between the two teams cannot be ruled out.
