Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts talked about the experience of playing with and throwing to wide receiver Julio Jones after a 38-31 win on the road against the Washington Commanders

"Big time player in a big time moment," Hurts said. "I know he's not afraid of those, he's been in those moments a lot of times in his career, and it was cool to see. It was cool to see, cool to do, cool to see him making a play for you, you know. In all my years I wouldn't say that I’d be throwing TD passes to Julio Jones, but here it is.”

After an interception of Sam Howell from safety Reed Blankenship, the Eagles took their first lead of the game with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter on an eight-yard touchdown pass from Hurts to Jones to make it 31-24.

Jones went up and got the ball over two defenders, showing off a flash of the skills that made him such a weapon for the Atlanta Falcons for 10 seasons. It was his second catch in two games with Philadelphia after he was signed before the Week 7 Sunday Night Football win over the Miami Dolphins.

The touchdown reception was the 905th catch and 64th touchdown of his NFL career. While Jones is no longer the same receiver that put up 1,871 receiving yards in a season, the third-most in NFL history, his ability to go up and make a catch over almost anyone could prove to help the Eagles, especially with recent struggles in the red zone.

Philadelphia will have a big game on Sunday at home against the Dallas Cowboys. The NFC East rivals will face off at Lincoln Financial Field at 4:25 p.m. ET.
