Eagles Ex Jalen Reagor Signs with Patriots Practice Squad

During his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Reagor totaled just 64 catches for 695 yards and three touchdowns in 28 games and 24 starts.

After being cut by the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday, former Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jalen Reagor has already found a new home.

Per reports Thursday from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the New England Patriots are signing Reagor to the practice squad. Fittingly, the Eagles play the Pats at Gillette Stadium in Week 1, though it's unclear if Reagor would be elevated for that game after just joining the team.

Reagor, 24, is known in Philly for being a massive draft bust after the Eagles selected him No. 21 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft out of TCU. To make matters worse, he was selected one pick before the Vikings took Justin Jefferson, who has risen to become arguably the best receiver in the league over the last few seasons.

During his time with the Eagles, Reagor totaled just 64 catches for 695 yards and three touchdowns in 28 games and 24 starts.

The Eagles traded Reagor to the Vikings prior to last season, as he then ended up playing alongside Jefferson. However, the production was still lacking, as Reagor posted just eight catches for 104 yards and one touchdown in 17 games as a Viking.

Although the Reagor pick didn't work out well for the Eagles, they have rebounded nicely from it. In 2021, one year after drafting Reagor, they drafted DeVonta Smith with the No. 10 pick, then traded for A.J. Brown a year later. It may not have happened as originally planned, but the Eagles now have one of the best receiving duos in the league.
