Eagles' Jason Kelce Pursuing Broadcasting Career After Football?

Jason Kelce decided not to hang up his cleats following the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Losing the Super Bowl was not the wish of the Philadelphia Eagles and certainly not for starting center Jason Kelce. But, as he recently revealed, this is part of why he is returning to the gridiron for his 13th season.

But at 35-years-old, that hasn't stopped the future NFL Hall of Famer from beginning to map out what his life will look like once he hangs up the cleats.

According to a recent report by NFL.com via the Associated Press, Kelce was among 25 current and former players who attended a Broadcasting and Media Workshop annually put together by the league.

This three-day training allowed players to learn how to cover the game in a multitude of ways, from calling it on TV and radio, or even working in the studio as an analyst.

"This is all new territory for me. I have even more respect for it now," Kelce said. "It's very hard to do something live, reactive of stimulus that just happened and having something clever and meaningful to say."

Kelce's potential interest in throwing his hat in the ring of broadcasting isn't all that surprising, as he and his brother Travis launched their own podcast, New Heights, in September of last year. The weekly show has given fans a unique look behind the scenes of the two brothers beyond the field. Jason could be just the first of the Kelce family to get into broadcasting after retirement.

But in the meantime, Kelce will return to the Eagles this offseason in hopes of winning his second Super Bowl ring, offering him his chance to ride off into the sunset with another Lombardi Trophy in hand.
