Pittsburgh Steelers Ex Antonio Brown Rips Cordarrelle Patterson on Falcons Signing

The approach from new Pittsburgh Steelers kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson is a fun one ... and Atlanta Falcons fans will surely attest to "CP" and his ability to have fun with the fans.

But now along comes Antonio Brown, the sad former NFL star, who has a nasty habit of ruining "fun."

Patterson, the record-setting Falcons standout who this year has signed with the Steelers, is asking Steel City fans for their advice on what number he should pick as he moves to his new team. In his NFL career, most recently in Atlanta, he has worn No. 84.

But he is now considering alternatives ... again, mostly just for the fun of interacting with his new fans. And Brown, forced into retirement after a stellar career highlighted by his time in Pittsburgh, is again here to screw it all up.

Patterson put up a poll on Twitter, asking if he should stay with 84 or go with a new number. His offered options are 10, 13, 18 and 81.

In 11 years in the NFL, Patterson has always worn No. 84. We bet he is disinclined to change. But versatility has always been one of his calling cards.

How so? Patterson is listed as a running back in Pittsburgh. But he has spent most of his career as a wide receiver. He can do both; as established by his 2,511 rushing yards and 2,795 receiving yards. ... and his combined 38 career touchdowns. But most of all, he's a terrific return guy ... whether "AB" understands it all or not.
