Atlanta Falcons Hosting Top Alabama CB Prospect For Draft Visit

The Atlanta Falcons hosted Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold for a visit on Tuesday.

The Atlanta Falcons have multiple needs to address in the NFL Draft, with cornerback being very high on that list.

A.J. Terrell is still a very solid option for a top corner, but aside from him, the cornerback room leaves a bit to be desired. With the Falcons looking to make their long-awaited return to the playoffs, finding a running mate for Terrell would be in their best interest.

The Falcons are well aware of that weakness, and could very well look to address it later this month. On Tuesday, the team hosted Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold, one of the top defensive players in the class, for an official visit.

A first-team All-American last season, Arnold made his mark on the Crimson Tide defense. The 21-year-old finished the season with 63 total tackles, 12 passes defended and five interceptions, all while going against some of the top receiving talent in the country.

Widely-considered to be the top corner in the class, Arnold has drawn praise from scouts for his exceptional prowess in man coverage.

The Alabama star is projected to be a mid-first-round pick, but some mock drafts have him going even earlier. With cornerback being a position of need for Atlanta, it wouldn't be too surprising to see him go there at No. 8 overall.
