Falcons 'Failure' Without 10+ Wins?

The Atlanta Falcons finished at just 7-10 last season, marking five years without a winning season. But maybe this year is the turnaround.

Atlanta Falcons fans' least favorite number has to be seven.

In the last five years, the organization has finished with just seven wins on four different occasions. That is some Jeff Fisher kind of mediocre.

But after drafting Bijan Robinson this offseason and bringing back weapons like Kyle Pitts, Drake London, Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson, maybe this is the year?

"It would be a failure if the Falcons don't win double-digit games this season. You're in a division with two teams clearly in need of a rebuild in the Saints and Bucs. Carolina has clear depth issues in the secondary and is starting a rookie quarterback after making an ill-advised head coaching change," Fansided wrote.

Alright, so let's pivot. It's not exactly an elite offense or monstrous defense that puts the Falcons in a solid spot in 2023. Maybe its the fact that the NFC South just stinks.

What's more, the quarterback position doesn't even need to be a conversation, per the outlet. Double-digit wins is attainable with me, you or an animal at the zoo calling the shots.

"This is a team that won five games with Marcus Mariota as their starter and drastically improved their roster while the degree of difficulty has been lessened. Atlanta doesn't need a star quarterback this season to win double-digit games but simply a capable one," Fansided wrote.

Is this considered drinking the Kool-Aid, or are the Falcons actually going to be good this fall? Pit with the easiest schedule in the NFL, I guess there's no reason for Atlanta to flop ... or are those famous last words?
