NFL Draft BREAKING: Falcons 'Interested' in Trading with Steelers at No. 32

The Atlanta Falcons have shown interest in acquiring the No. 32 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The second day of the 2023 NFL Draft is moments away from starting, and Atlanta Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot is hard at work.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Pittsburgh Steelers, who own the first pick of the night at No. 32 overall, are receiving "significant interest" from several teams.

"Among the teams I'm told potentially interested in coming up to No. 32 - the Falcons, Titans, Raiders, Commanders and more," Rapoport said. "It sounds like the price is going to be high and the Steelers will be able to get legit, legit compensation."

Fontenot mentioned that he weighed trading down in the first round, as late as when the Falcons were on the clock, but ultimately stayed put and selected Texas running back Bijan Robinson at No. 8 overall.

Among the players Atlanta could be eyeing include Georgia Tech defensive end Keion White, Alabama safety Brian Branch and Northwestern defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore.

Falcons coach Arthur Smith is reportedly a big fan of White, but Atlanta's done plenty of work on Branch, Adebawore and others up front. Apart from tackle convert Peter Skoronski, all of the draft's top interior offensive lineman are still on the board, and the Falcons could target a starter at left guard.

NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah floated the idea that Atlanta could even lean quarterback, with Kentucky's Will Levis and Tennessee's Hendon Hooker both still on the board.

But for now, it's simply "interest" on Atlanta's behalf - although the buzz surrounding a trade has been mounting all day.
