Falcons Ex Roddy White Has Message for Bears After Week 17 Contest

Former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White wouldn't mind quarterback Justin Fields taking snaps for his team next season.

After the Atlanta Falcons' embarrassing 37-17 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, one Atlanta legend is hoping that his team can land Chicago's quarterback in the near future.

The Bears are believed to be in the running to draft USC Trojans quarterback and former Heisman winner Caleb Williams this spring, and that's a move that former Falcons wide receiver Roddy White hopes they make if it means current Chicago signal caller Justin Fields becomes a Bird.

White posted to X on Sunday asking the Bears to draft Williams in April and send Fields to Atlanta as a result.

"Go ahead and draft Caleb please," White said. "We will take Justin off y'all's hands no problem. If y'all feel like he fighting for his job, then go ahead and pick a new QB and let my birds get him so he can come back home and feel comfortable balling."

The Falcons' loss damaged their slim playoff hopes on Sunday, knocking their odds to reach the postseason to 10 percent, according to NFL.com. Atlanta will close out the regular season on Sunday when it travels to face the New Orleans Saints.

Kickoff between Atlanta and New Orleans is set for 1 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on CBS.
