NFL Free Agency: Cardinals WR Marquise Brown to Falcons?

The Atlanta Falcons are in the market for another receiver this offseason.

With free agency just around the corner, the Atlanta Falcons have a pretty good idea of who they could target.

Quarterback obviously remains a big need, but what good is a new signal-caller without weapons to throw to? Sure, the Falcons have a solid No. 1 receiver in Drake London, but as a whole, their receiver room leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, Atlanta's wide receivers combined for just four touchdowns last season, two each by London and Scotty Miller.

As a result, many expect the Falcons to target receivers in free agency and/or the draft, but who exactly? With many of the big names already off the market, Bleacher Report believes Marquise "Hollywood" Brown of the Arizona Cardinals would be a logical choice.

"Regardless of how the Atlanta Falcons address their quarterback situation, they could use another dependable pass-catcher," Bleacher Report writes. "Wideout Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts have both showcased potential, but adding another top-tier receiver would give the Falcons a complete receiving corps—one that can support their signal-caller...

"While Brown isn't a particularly well-rounded receiver, he can still stretch the field and create big plays after the catch with his speed. He'd be a solid complement to London and Pitts in the passing game."

Brown, 26, is indeed somewhat of a one-trick pony, but he's pretty good at what he does. Thanks to his blistering speed, he brings a unique skillset to the table compared to any receiver currently on the Falcons' roster.

That said, Brown still comes with a share of concerns. He is coming off a down season statistically in Arizona, as he caught 51 passes for 574 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games. He has also missed time with multiple injuries throughout his career, albeit none of them season-ending.

According to Spotrac, Brown's projected market value lies at just under $15 million annually. A steep price to be sure, but it makes sense given how valuable of a position receiver is.

Time will tell if the Falcons actually decide to pursue Brown, but he certainly has a lot to offer.
