Sign Eric Kendricks, Khalil Mack? Falcons Star says ‘Make That Happen!’

Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson has begun publicly recruiting Pro Bowl defenders Khalil Mack and Eric Kendricks to join the team.

NFL free agency kicks off in a week, and Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson is already recruiting veterans.

On Monday, Patterson tweeted, “Eric Kendricks and Khalil Mack to the Falcons!!! Let's make that happen like now!!!!”

Both veterans would make sense for the Falcons as they look to improve upon a defense that gave up the seventh-most yards in the league in 2022-23.

In Kendricks, the Falcons would be getting a 31-year-old inside linebacker that had the 14th most tackles in the league last season (137) while playing for the Minnesota Vikings

Mack, 31, has had a career filled with accolades, logging seven Pro Bowls, three All-Pro's and is a former defensive player of the year.

Mack, who spent time with now-Falcons executive Ryan Pace as members of the Chicago Bears, is coming off a Pro Bowl season with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he put up two pass deflections, two forced fumbles and eight sacks.

The Falcons currently have the second-youngest team in the NFL, but together, Mack and Kendricks could help elevate Atlanta’s defense by bringing more experience into the locker room.

In a wide-open division, Atlanta may look to contend now by using its abundance of cap space to bring in veterans to help establish a winning culture as it tries to get back into the playoffs for the first time since 2017.

And while the Falcons are no longer believed to be a contender for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Patterson still hasn't stopped recruiting big names.
