Kirk Cousins' Wife Shares Excitement Ahead of Official Falcons Signing

The excitement surrounding the Atlanta Falcons' agreement to sign free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins is building.

Fans aren't the only ones excited about the Atlanta Falcons' deal with former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins being agreed to on the first day of the NFL's legal tampering period. The excitement has spread to the Cousins family, particularly his wife Julie.

In a series of posts to her Instagram story, Julie shared her excitement about moving to Atlanta, a place she is already familiar with, given that she is originally from Alpharetta, Georgia.

“Packing up to head south… great time to play some instruments,” Cousins said in the caption of a video of her two sons playing toy instruments. “Atlanta here we come!”

However, there is one potentially unhappy camper in the Cousins' household, as Julie then shared a picture of their dog, Abe.

"This guy is the only one not excited about moving down south," Cousins wrote.

While Cousins agreed to a four-year deal worth $180 million with the Falcons on Monday, it isn't official yet. That will likely happen sometime on Wednesday following the 4 p.m. deadline, which marks the end of the league's legal tampering period and will then allow the pen to be put to paper on a contract.

The Falcons' social media team explained that in a meme on Tuesday, likely in response to fans telling them to announce Cousins' signing.

However, even while they aren't able to officially announce any signings right now, that didn't stop the Falcons' official Twitter account from posting a picture of a Zillow map showing the houses for sale surrounding Atlanta on Monday.

Nonetheless, excitement is in the air, as the Falcons hope that the 35-year-old Cousins can be the franchise quarterback that gets them back in contention for the postseason and even the Super Bowl.
