Who is Falcons Coach Zac Robinson? Meet New Offensive Coordinator

The Atlanta Falcons hired Zac Robinson from the Los Angeles Rams over the weekend to be the team's new offensive coordinator.

The Atlanta Falcons are making some changes with the Raheem Morris regime officially taking over.

The first major hire under Morris would be for an offensive coordinator, and the Falcons now have their guy in Zac Robinson.

Morris and Robinson have worked together in Los Angeles, and Robinson has interviewed with multiple teams this offseason for an offensive coordinator position, such as the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints. But ultimately, Morris' hire by the Falcons led to Robinson following him to Atlanta.

Robinson has gotten to learn from the Rams elite head coach, Sean McVay, since 2019 and has worked his way up the coaching ladder. McVay is considered one of the best offensive minds in the industry and helped veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford make the second Pro Bowl of his career, his first in nearly a decade.

At Age 37, Robinson is still a young up and coming coach in the NFL and a former draft pick of the New England Patriots back in 2010, so he should fit in with this young locker room seamlessly while being able to help solve the team’s quarterback struggles since Matt Ryan’s heyday.

Now, the next step for the Falcons is to find a quarterback who can work with Robinson to allow the offense to reach the potential it has.
