The Atlanta Falcons have improved their pass rush this offseason by acquiring Calais Campbell and Bud Dupree

However, according to a recent article published by Bleacher Report, their efforts to strengthen the unit may still be ongoing. In the article, Bleacher Report identified the Falcons as one of the top two teams that could be a landing spot for Yannick Ngakoue, a former Pro Bowl defensive lineman.

"The Atlanta Falcons have taken steps to improve a pass rush that logged just 21 sacks last season," Bleacher Report writes. "They added Calais Campbell, Bud Dupree and Kaden Elliss to their pass-rushing rotation and drafted Zach Harrison in the third round. However, Atlanta could benefit from adding Ngakoue. The Falcons will have a very real chance of winning the NFC South if they get a sizeable second-year leap from quarterback Desmond Ridder. Ngakoue could help them grasp that coveted division title and playoff berth."

The Falcons have faced struggles in their pass rush, finishing last in the league in sacks with 18 in the 2021 season and second-to-last with 21 in 2022. Over the course of the past two years, they have been at the bottom of the league, trailing the second-to-last team (the Las Vegas Raiders) by a significant margin of 23 sacks.

Adding Ngakoue to the Falcons' roster would be a valuable solution to their pass rush concerns. With a career stat line of 65 sacks in 110 games, Ngakoue has consistently showcased his impact on the field.

Bolstering their pass rush with Ngakoue could greatly enhance the Falcons' chances of reaching the postseason for the first time since 2017.
