The New York Giants are set to host free agent cornerback Darious Williams on Sunday, according to an ESPN report.

Williams, who was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars as part of a roster reshaping move, is a six-year NFL veteran who initially entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in 2018.

The soon-to-be- 31-year old cornerback, who also spent four years with the Los Angeles Rams, has appeared in 80 career regular-season games with 55 starts and has 236 total tackles with ten interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown) and 10 tackles for a loss.

Last season, Williams, 5-foot-9 and 187 pounds, recorded four interceptions, tying his career high. Overall, he has a 76.7 career coverage rating and has allowed 57.4 percent of the pass targets against him to be completed.

Williams is primarily an outside cornerback, but he has extensive experience playing in both the slot and the box.

The Giants are not elected to re-sign cornerback Adoree' Jackson, whose final year of his contract was voided. Jackson had been the starter opposite of Deonte Banks, who had now moved into the CB1 role for the Giants.
