According to head coach Brian Daboll, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones remains limited as far as practice goes. Jones, who suffered a neck injury two weeks ago against the Dolphins, has been able to throw, but last week he wasn't cleared to participate in practice.

This week, in what can be considered progress, Jones was cleared to practice with his teammates; however, he hasn't been cleared for contact, and as such, he hasn't done any team drills, those going to Tyrod Taylor, who is expected to get the start Sunday when the team hosts the Washington Commanders.

“I just continue to feel better every day,” Jones had said on Wednesday. “Just working through it and getting better day by day.”

Daniel Jones Offers Update on His Neck Injury

In other injury news, offensive lineman Shane Lemieux suffered a torn biceps injury in Wednesday's practice and has been placed on injured reserve. Lemieux, a fifth-round draft pick in 2020, has been snakebit when it has come to injuries, having spent most of last season on IR with toe and foot issues.

Lemieux joins Josua Ezeudu (toe) on injured reserve. Andrew Thomas (hamstring), John Michael Schmit (shoulder), and Matt PEart (shoulder) have also been unable to practice for the Giants due to their respective injuries. Right tackle Evan Neal, who didn't practice Wednesday, will try to give it a go on Thursday, according to Daboll.

The Giants have signed center Sean Harlow off the Cowboys practice squad to take Lemieux's roster spot. The Giants initially signed Harlow during training camp after center J.C. Hassenauer landed on season-ending injured reserve.

This week, the Giants have also added Justin Pugh from their practice squad and signed offensive linemen Josh Miles and Tyre Phillips from other teams' practice squads just to fill out the offensive line depth.
