2024 NFL Draft: Washington's Jalen McMillan Visits Jaguars

The productive Huskies receiver could be an interesting option after the first round.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are continuing to do homework on the 2024 wide receiver class.

Washington Huskies wide receiver Jalen McMillan took a visit with the Jaguars this week, marking another wide receiver spending time with the Jaguars ahead of this month's draft.

A former four-star recruit, McMillan started nine games in 2021 and led Washington with 39 catches for 470 yards and three touchdowns. In 2022, McMillan again led the passing game with 79 catches for 1,098 yards and nine touchdown catches. A knee injury forced McMillan to miss time in 2023, finishing the year with 45 catches for 559 yards and five touchdowns.

"Slot target with good size and production over the last two seasons. McMillan is a long-striding field-stretcher who is at his best with momentum routes in a West Coast passing scheme," NFL.com's Lance Zierlein said.

He lacks aggression and play strength and could labor against press or when faced with contested catches. McMillan has adequate build-up speed to create opportunities down the field but needs the ball on target. Teams will need to determine if McMillan was a product of the impressive Washington passing scheme, or if he's a stand-alone talent outside of UW."

"It's good. You look at the top of the draft, obviously it's really good. Then there are always some guys you can find in the middle part of the draft too that can come in and help you and probably aid more on special teams a little bit," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said about the receiver class at the league meetings in Orlando. "It's a good receiver class this year.”
