Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan dropped a potential bombshell on Thursday when he revealed in an interview with Katherine Ross of TheStreet that he thinks disgruntled star cornerback Jalen Ramsey will play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

"I think, you know, he is going to be playing this week. So hopefully you will tune into the Saints game," Khan said.

Ramsey has missed the last two games with a back injury that the team said he suffered against the Tennessee Titans in week 3. Ramsey was held out of seven consecutive practices due to the injury, an illness and travelling to Nashville for the birth of his second child.

However, Ramsey returned to the Jaguars practice field in a limited capacity on Wednesday after seeing a back specialist in Houston on Monday. Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said the specialists report aligned with what the team doctors were seeing.

Ramsey has been the talk of the league since making a trade request following the team's week 2 loss to Houston. But when Khan was asked about the prospects of trading Ramsey, he told TheStreet they have to act in the best interests of the team.

"I think it is something, you know, you got to balance what is good for the team with what the individual maybe wishes might be," he said.

Khan also revealed in the interview the fact he and Ramsey had an in-person discussion this week about the situation.

"I met him a couple of days ago, had a heart-to-heart, and I think we will be able to come to whatever makes sense for all."
