Jaguars Podcast: Mac Jones, Mitch Morse, and Legal Tampering Takes

What do John and Gus make of the recent additions to the Jaguars and what do they predict happens during the legal tampering period?

There has been, well, a lot going on with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars have been one of the NFL's busiest teams over the last week. First, they released three starting defenders in Foley Fatukasi, Rayshawn Jenkins, and Darious Williams.

Then, the Jaguars franchise-tagged Josh Allen and re-signed Ezra Cleveland, Daniel Thomas, and Jeremiah Ledbetter.

Finally, the Jaguars have spent the last 24 hours trading a sixth-round pick to the New England Patriots for former first-round pick Mac Jones and then signing former Buffalo Bills center Mitch Morse to be their new starter.

Got all of that?

And, of course, this all has happened just as the NFL's legal tampering period begins today at noon. Once noon hits, the Jaguars can go look for free agent additions, as well as find out the resolution to the futures of Calvin Ridley, Dawuane Smoot, Jamal Agnew, and other free agents.

What directions will the Jaguars go in on Monday? How can they improve their roster before the NFL Draft kicks off next month? And what exactly will happen with Ridley? Will he remain a Jaguar or find a big contract elsewhere on the market?

John and Gus discuss all of this and more in this week's episode of the JaguarReport podcast.
