The Jacksonville Jaguars will be entering Sunday’s AFC South tilt vs. the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium with a mostly healthy roster.

Fourth-year tight end Seth DeValve is the only Jaguars (4-5) player who did not practice on Friday (oblique) and is also the only player listed on the team’s injury report for Sunday’s road game vs. the Colts (5-4). DeValve is listed as doubtful for Sunday.

DeValve has caught six passes for 68 yards in nine games this season. He has played 36% of the team’s offensive snaps in 2019. He was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice after not being listed on the injury report Wednesday.

If DeValve does not play Sunday, Jacksonville would be down to only rookie Josh Oliver and veteran Ben Koyack at tight end unless the team adds another one or promotes Charles Jones from the practice squad.

The Jaguars are already down two tight ends after James O’Shaughnessy suffered an ACL injury in Week 5 against Carolina and was placed on the team’s reserve/injured list, and Geoff Swaim was placed on the team’s reserve/injured list with a concussion and ankle injury following Week 6 against New Orleans.

The Jaguars had every single player participate fully in practice Friday apart from DeValve and second-year safety Ronnie Harrison (eye). Harrison is not listed on Sunday’s injury report, so he is expected to still play.

The Jaguars will be entering their first post-bye week game with a relatively healthy roster, a vast contrast from Jacksonville’s injury situation in 2018. Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone commented on the situation Friday, noting how hard the team worked to get healthy.

“We’ve worked hard, both the players, everybody, to manage [to get] where we are,” Marrone said. “I think last year we learned a lot. Last year was awful, really was, when you look at it. So, like I said, it’s good to be here, but again, it’s week-to-week.”

“I look at the Cincinnati game and you think you’re going to come out of that game pretty good, and all of a sudden, there’s a rash of injuries,” Marrone continued. “So, week-to-week, you have to continue to keep doing a good job. Obviously, we’re in a pretty good place right now where we are as far as health.”
