For the second straight year, we’re going to have a chance to discuss and anticipate and alternative football league to the NFL after February. Last year it was the AAF - this year is the return of the XFL as Vince McMahon, Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, will try and revive the football league that flopped back in 2001.

Some former Jacksonville Jaguars players will be trying to revive their careers in McMahon’s football league. Let’s introduce you to the six former Jacksonville Jaguars that are eligible for the XFL draft on October 15.

WR Tre McBride

McBride never played a regular season snap for the Jaguars, but he was one of those guys during training camp and preseason that seemed like he could make the final roster, especially after a strong 2019 camp. His best season came in 2017 with the Bears where he had eight receptions for 145 yards.

DT Tony Geuard

Geuard was cut rather swiftly by the Jaguars during his time in Jacksonville. But, Jags fans might remember the big Defensive Tackle during his time at UCF.

He had 142 total tackles and 7.5 sacks in his two years starting for the Knights. He also spent some time in the AAF with the Orlando Apollos.

LB Khari Fortt

Fortt was on the Jaguars roster for less than a year from 2014-2015, didn’t see much playing time and was waived rather quickly. He was also a contestant on the show Fear or Factor in 2018.

DE Ryan Davis

Davis spent four years with the Jags from 2012-2015, he was a fan favorite during his time in Jacksonville.

He made his first start in 2014, where he had two forced fumbles, six and a half sacks and seven tackles for a loss. All those numbers were career highs for Davis. He spent his last season in Buffalo in 2017.

RB Jonas Gray

Gray was a cult icon for the Jaguars during his time in Jacksonville. He was one of those players that fans just wanted to see more of. But, alas the Jaguars let him go following the 2015 season.

Gray was mostly known for his time with New England, where he rushed over 400 yards in 2014. Including a 199 yard performance against the Colts in the AFC championship game.

He put up lackluster numbers during his time in Jacksonville in 2015, Where he put up 50 rushing yards and only seven receiving yards.

DB Cody Brown

Brown was a former AAF player who spent just a few weeks with the Jaguars earlier this year. Brown didn’t play a single regular season snap for the Jaguars.

During his two starts at Arkansas State he tallied six interceptions and 128 total tackles.
