Detroit Lions Sell Out Season Tickets

Detroit Lions announce waiting list for Ford Field tickets.

The Detroit Lions have sold out of season tickets, the organization announced Thursday.

It's the first time in the team's 21-year Ford Field era that they have reached the capacity for season tickets.

“This is an exciting moment for our franchise. To reach this milestone as we celebrate our 90th season of Detroit Lions football makes the moment even more special,” Detroit Lions President and CEO Rod Wood said in a released statement. “The Lions have always enjoyed a loyal and multi-generational fan base that has been the bedrock of our fan base. We can’t wait for the home field advantage that this will create inside Ford Field this season.”

The Lions have received plenty of hype throughout the offseason after closing the the 2022 season on an 8-2 run to finish 9-8. It was the team's first winning season since 2017.

“I will say, we’re very proud of the growth we showed last season and especially how we ended the season. Now, I will say, it was a little shocking to me after still not making the postseason, the height of the hype train," general manager Brad Holmes told Lions' flagship radio. "I didn’t think it’d be to that magnitude but it’s appreciated. It’s very much appreciated. We appreciate that people are taking notice of what we’re doing, we’re trying to do it the right way. But at the end of the day, we just block out that noise and we have our own internal standards. We already know what we have to get done. If it’s high or low praise, we just stay focused on the mission that we’ve got to get done. That’s been the message to the team and the guys are doing a good job handling it.”
