Lions' Wide Receivers Earn High PFF Grades Against Rams

Examining PFF grades from Detroit's Wild Card win.

The Detroit Lions earned the right to host another playoff game at Ford Field by knocking off the Los Angeles Rams Sunday, 24-23, in the Wild Card round.

Now, they'll await the winner of Monday's matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

The top graded players in Sunday's game by Pro Football Focus were linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Reeves-Maybin narrowly missed a diving interception in the red zone, while St. Brown finished with 110 yards on seven receptions.

A big reason for the team's success was quarterback Jared Goff, who dominated early in the game. He was dialed in from the opening drive, completing his first 11 passes and finishing the first half 16-for-18 for 194 yards and a touchdown.

Ultimately, he finished the game 22-for-27 for 277 yards and a score. He played turnover-free and converted two clutch first down passes to ice the game in the fourth quarter.

As a result, he got to take three kneel-downs that cemented the defeat of his former team.

Defensively, Aidan Hutchinson played a key role in putting pressure on Matthew Stafford. The second-year pass-rusher finished with nine total pressures and notched two sacks.

It was a vindicating performance for the Michigan product, who played through an illness.
