Four-Point Stance

One: Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield is one of the NFL’s best defenders. He’s got 97 tackles, four sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 11 passes defensed. With three more tackles, he’ll join Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins as the only players with 100-plus tackles and three-plus forced fumbles and fumble recoveries in a single season since 2000. Since entering the NFL in 2020, he leads all defensive backs with 11 sacks.

Two: Has there ever been a receiver who’s consistently put up huge numbers with less acclaim than Mike Evans? He’s got 62 receptions for 1,020 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. He’s second in the league in touchdown catches and 10th in yards. This is Evans’ 10th NFL season. He’s topped 1,000 yards in each of those seasons, making him the only player to ever start his career with 10 consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns.

Three: He might not have anyone to throw to, but Jordan Love has thrown for 3,084 yards and ranks fifth in the league with 23 touchdown passes and 25 total touchdowns. He is going for his fourth consecutive game at home with a 100-plus passer rating. Love and Brock Purdy lead the NFL with four games of three-plus touchdown passes and zero interceptions.

Four: According to the Elias Sports Bureau via the Packers’ Dope Sheet, six rookies have at least one touchdown reception this season. That’s the most by any team during the Super Bowl era (with the exception of the strike season of 1987). Jayden Reed has five and Dontayvion Wicks, Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft, Malik Heath and Ben Sims have one each.
