Two Panthers Coordinators Given High Marks in Player Survey
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the NFL Players Association asked over 1,700 players to rate the coordinators they play for on a scale of 1-10.
Pelissero's post on X only showed the top five vote-getters at each coordinator spot (offensive, defensive, and special teams), but two Panthers coordinators cracked their respective top five.
Offensive coordinator Thomas Brown was ranked number two among all 32 offensive coordinators, and Chris Tabor (now serving as interim head coach) also ranked second among all 32 special teams coordinators.
For two guys that have put up with change at the the top of the staff in Carolina (and one of them being thrusted into the leading role), it has to be pretty sweet to be recognized by your players in this way. Thomas Brown's offense hasn't put it together on the field, but his players are responding well to him, and that matters. Especially because a new head coach usually means new coordinators. Brown ending up at number two on this list should give him a nice bump heading into hiring season.

Tabor should also be grateful for the complements of his players. His fiery attitude towards players and officials is the antithesis of Frank Reich's stoic demeanor, and according to his players votes, it has been taken well.
NFLPA President JC Tretter said about this list: "Guys in the Top 5 list pretty clearly appeal to almost everybody in their locker room.”
There are many problems shrouding the Panthers' facility on Mint Street, but clearly according to the players, Thomas Brown and Chris Tabor are at the bottom of the list.
