Chargers vs. Patriots Prediction, Player Prop Bets & Odds for 12/3

There’s no denying the New England Patriots aren’t having the type of season they’re accustomed to, but at least they get to be back in Foxboro this week against a Los Angeles Chargers team that is sitting at the bottom of the AFC West with a 4-7 record. To add a bit more excitement as we watch New England try to get back in the win column, we’ve provided both a Chargers vs. Patriots and Chargers vs. Patriots player prop bets.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. New England Patriots Prediction for NFL Week 13

As much as we’d love to give the Pats as the money line bet for the FanDuel promo we’re going to break down for you, it’s certainly going to be a tough task to pull off the outright upset. However, we do believe that they can keep things close.

They've historically done so against the Chargers, but before even getting into that, LA is simply not living up to expectations. Head coach Brandon Staley is absolutely on the hot seat, and the Pats actually aren’t a great matchup for them. New England’s struggles lie almost solely with their offense and QB Mac Jones, but their defense has been stout.

Meanwhile, LA is almost entirely reliant upon QB Justin Herbert. He’s certainly a great talent, but he hasn’t been able to break the streak against the Pats. New England has now won seven straight against the Chargers, nine of the last 10, and most importantly, are 5-0 against the spread and 8-2 against the spread dating even further back.

Of course, plenty of those were with different rosters, but the most recent was still Mac Jones vs. Justin Herbert, and LA still fell short as 6.5-point favorites. So, even if it isn’t another outright upset, our best Chargers vs. Patriots prediction is New England +5.5 (-115 at FanDuel Sportsbook).

Chargers vs. Patriots Player Prop Picks & Best Bets Highlighting Rhamondre Stevenson & Austin Ekeler

We completely understand if it’s a tough pill to swallow focusing on our prediction, which is why we also have Chargers vs. Patriots player prop bets for you. There is a theme involved as well - the running game.

First up is New England RB Rhamondre Stevenson. He has easily been the bright spot for the Pats, and the Chargers have historically been terrible against the run, at least for as long as Staley has been there. It also doesn’t hurt that head coach Bill Belichick is feeding him the rock consistently.

Stevenson has had 20+ carries in back-to-back games, racking up 98 and 88 yards in the process. Even prior to that, he had 87 yards on just nine carries for an incredible 9.7 yards per carry. Therefore, the first of our Chargers vs. Patriots player prop bets is Rhamondre Stevenson over 60.5 rushing yards (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook).

On the other side, Los Angeles RB Austin Ekeler is one of the best dual threats in the NFL and generally a top target for fantasy football players. However, his matchup simply isn’t great against the Pats. New England is in the top 10 in terms of rushing yards allowed and have looked exceptionally stout as of late.

In their last two games, they’ve faced two of the league’s best RBs - Jonathan Taylor and Saquon Barkley. Those studs amassed 69 and 46 yards, respectively. That Taylor stat may not seem too poor, but it took him 23 carries to get there. Along with him coming off a 32-yard performance, we’re making Austin Ekeler under 51.5 rushing yards (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook) the second of our Chargers vs. Patriots player prop bets.
