WATCH: Jalen Reagor 98-Yard Opening Kickoff Return Gives Pats Early Lead Over Bills

The New England Patriots are off to a fast start to their Week 17 matchup with the Buffalo Bills on New Year’s Eve.

The New England Patriots did not waste any time in lighting the scoreboard in their Week 17 matchup with the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium. 

On the game’s opening kickoff, receiver Jalen Reagor returned the 63-yard offering from Bills’ kicker Tyler Bass for 98-yards to give the Patriots an early 6-0 lead. A Chad Ryland extra point would place New England’s lead at 7-0 before the Bills even had a chance to touch the football.

The New England Patriots are attempting to make their mark in the win column for the second straight week on New Year’s Eve against the Buffalo Bills. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.

Sunday’s game will mark the second and final meeting of the season between the two division rivals. The Patriots beat Buffalo, 29-25, at Gillette Stadium in Week 7 and will be looking for a series sweep of the Bills for the first time since 2019.

The Patriots (4-11) enter this game on the heels of a 26-23 victory over the Denver Broncos while the Bills (9-6) also earned a close 24-22 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
