'Y'all Pray for Me': New England Patriots Ex Chandler Jones Arrested Again

Former New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones was arrested for the second time in just a month in Las Vegas.

Former New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones was arrested again on Tuesday by Las Vegas police, according to a report by TMZ.

This makes it Jones' second arrest in just a month. Like the first time, the latest arrest was due to violating a domestic violence temporary protection order. Then, following his release from jail, Jones recorded a video of himself asking for prayers.

"Fresh out of jail again," Jones said in a video released by TMZ. "Ya'll Pray For me."

This latest arrest is just the continuation of a troubling couple of months for the 33-year-old. Despite the NFL season being six weeks in, Jones has yet to appear in a game as he had been away from the Las Vegas Raiders following their preseason game versus the Dallas Cowboys and placed on the non-football illness list.

In the weeks that followed Jones' time away from the team, he took to social media several times, going after the franchise's owner, Mark Davis, coach Josh McDaniels, and others. Jones even went as far as to claim at one point that Davis knew about child molestation

With the two sides looking likely to be headed toward a bad breakup, it wasn't until after Jones was arrested at the end of September that the Raiders decided to release the edge rusher, potentially marking the end of his career on the gridiron.

Prior to his time in Las Vegas, Jones was one of New England’s most electrifying defenders from 2012-15. He was drafted by the Patriots out of Syracuse in the first round with the 21st overall selection in 2012.

He started 52 of his 55 regular-season appearances for the Pats, compiling 211 tackles (38 for loss,) 36 sacks, 10 forced fumbles (recovering two,) eight passes-defended, and his only career interception. He earned a Pro Bowl nod as a Patriot in 2015 and was selected to New England’s All-2010s Team.
