WATCH: Viral Video Shows New England Patriots Admitting 'We're Not Good Enough'

A conversation between New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his son, Jonathan, is throwing fuel on the team's dumpster fire of a season.

At 2-7 and with the worst team in the AFC, it's no secret that the New England Patriots aren't good. But a viral video from Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Washington Commanders now has fans wondering if they are broken beyond repair.

During Fox's TV broadcast, cameras caught a scene from the owner's box at Gillette Stadium where Robert Kraft and his son, team president Jonathan, were having a discussion. After the Pats kicked a field goal to take a 17-10 lead early in the third quarter Kraft says something to his son, who in return seems to say "We're just not good enough."

See for yourself:

There is no context, of course, to help explain the video or if Jonathan was speaking about a specific play or player, or perhaps the team or season in general. Or maybe even the coaching?

For a team with six Super Bowl trophies and past catchy mantras such as "Do Your Job!" and the "Patriot Way," hard to believe "We're Not Good Enough" is a rallying cry for this disaster of a 2023 season. But here we are.

Kraft has kept publicly quiet on the season and the status of coach Bill Belichick, only telling those close to him about his "frustration." But with the Patriots mired in their worst year since Belichick's first in Foxboro in 2000 and now with his son apparently resigned to losing, the owner must be mulling the organization's future.

Asked about the video during his weekly radio appearance on WEEI Monday morning, Belichick merely grumbled.

"You’d have to ask them about what they said,” he said. "I don’t know. We didn’t do enough yesterday.”

As of now, the Patriots hold the No. 5 pick in next April's NFL Draft.
