The Las Vegas Raiders were a much-improved team in the second half of the 2023-24 season, something they certainly willl attempt to carry into next season.

The Raiders hope to retain Interim Coach Antonio Pierce amid high demand for him around the league. Several players, including star defensive end Maxx Crosby, have publicly stated that they want him to be their permanent head coach.

Under Pierce, Crosby grew as a leader and established a work ethic culture, hoping to get everyone on the same level so they could be the best players they could be.

Crosby spoke about the culture being a significant reason why players were able to develop on the latest episode of his podcast, "The Rush with Maxx Crosby."

“It’s huge,” Crosby said. “For the future of this team, having young guys step up super early in their career. That’s just being a leader. That’s just something specific to my D-Line group just in general. That’s another part that I wanted to add, too, about what’s helped me this season, taking that next step as a leader. You see guys like Malcolm [Koonce], you see Tyree [Wilson], all these guys just improving on a daily basis, just being able to play a little part in that is all I want.

“I want everyone to get as close to my level of intensity and level of preparation and level of work on a daily basis. If I could help someone get from here to here, that’s a win. If you have a whole group thinking like that and chasing after greatness, you become unstoppable. Obviously, the Tre Tuckers, all those guys, I have nothing but love and respect for those dudes. I know where they’re going. Tre Tucker is an absolute dog. I know he’s going to be great. I know Aidan O’Connell, the way he prepares and works; I know he’s going to have a great career.”

Crosby was once a young player seeking guidance in the league, and now he is one of the league’s best players, offering it to younger players trying to find their way.

And Crosby lauded the development his teammates showed this season, and the Raiders hope to continue that development into next season.
