Rams Make Playoffs With Sean McVay 'Coaching His A** Off!'?

Is this a "legacy year" for Los Angeles coach Sean McVay? That's how one analyst sees it - and he also sees the the Rams in the playoffs.

All signs are pointing to a second-consecutive losing season for the Los Angeles Rams due to their inexperienced roster. The Super Bowl champions of 2021 are no more as few members of that team are still in Los Angeles today.

Nevertheless, there are some members of the NFL community that believe in the Rams this season, despite having the third-youngest roster in the league.

Good Morning Football panelist Kyle Brandt is the latest media personality to hop on the Rams train this season.

"I think we're going to have a fascinating year from the L.A. Rams and (coach) Sean McVay," Brandt said on Friday's edition of The Rich Eisen Show. "I think Sean McVay is going to coach his a** off this year...this is a legacy year for him. I love what the Rams are doing and I'm gonna pick the Rams to be in the playoffs."

Brandt admitted that quarterback Matthew Stafford's issue connecting with teammates and receiver Cooper Kupp's injury could be "terrifying" toward his playoff prediction, but believes McVay is the answer to all obstacles.

"I believe in coaches as much as anybody does," Brandt said. "If we were saying Sean McVay is the next great-great coach following Belichick or Lombardi, I don't abandon that. I think McVay will get them home. I believe in McVay and we could go up and down the roster and the depth chart, but he will find a way to win enough games."

The NFL allows just seven teams from each conference to make the playoffs, including the division winners and three wild card spots. Rams division rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, are widely considered among the most talented teams in the league and are heavily predicted to make the playoffs.

Fellow NFC West rival the Seattle Seahawks also have a realistic chance of playing football in January. Many other teams in the NFC have a better shot at making the playoffs than the Rams, but McVay's Super Bowl winning experience may lead the team to defy the odds.
