The Draft Network reports that the Los Angeles Rams met virtually with Old Dominion University tight end Zack Kuntz in an interview the publication recently did with the 2023 NFL Draft hopeful.

On his meeting with the Rams and other franchises, Kuntz spoke positively.

"It’s been fun to see how each team or coach handles their business. We’re talking about how I could fit their schemes. We’re getting a feel for one another," Kuntz said.

Kuntz, who stands at 6-foot-7, was a Combine standout as he ran a 4.55 in the 40 and became the tallest player in Combine history with a 40-inch vertical.

While his physical capabilities impress, Kuntz has little on his five-year collegiate resume to go off of. While playing for Penn State and ODU, Kuntz only had one year where he played in more than five games.

In that 2021 season, he played 13 games and logged 73 receptions for 692 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.

Tight end Tyler Higbee is still on the Rams' roster and was their second-best receiver in 2022, going for 620 receiving yards trailing only teammate Cooper Kupp.

However, no player outside of Kupp went for more than three receiving touchdowns on the year. L.A. also added tight end Hunter Long to the team earlier this offseason. He has yet to make his mark in the league but is hoping his time with the Rams will be where it happens.

Los Angeles has options in the upcoming drafts starting with the No. 36 overall pick and their meeting with Kuntz will help determine if he's a good fit for the roster.
