Rams Trade Idea: Could Eagles Edge Rusher Bolster Defensive Line?

The Philadelphia Eagles have been parting ways with a lot of their players, and the Los Angeles Rams could use that to their advantage.

The Los Angeles Rams were bottom five in the league in sacks this season, and they could get some defensive line help through the trade market.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been parting ways with a lot of their talent, like Kevin Byard, and they have also lost a lot of their players to retirement. So if they were to trade either Haason Reddick or Josh Sweat, could the Rams be a potential suitor?

Reddick made the Pro Bowl this past season and was one of the best edge rushers in the entire NFL. He finished the season with 13 tackles for loss, with 11 of them being sacks. However, he is turning 30 years old later this season and would only help the team win right away.

If the team were to try and acquire Sweat, he could be more long-term, as he is three years younger than Reddick. He finished with 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles this season, and his numbers didn't look as impressive due to the amount of great players on the Eagles' defense.

If the Rams were to trade for one of these two players, it could help their defensive line tremendously. With how young the defense of the Rams is, they could be just a veteran presence away from really breaking out and helping the team contend.
