Browns Sign Former Steelers LB Devin Bush

The Pittsburgh Steelers' former first-round pick is headed back to the AFC North.

PITTSBURGH -- The Cleveland Browns are bringing Devin Bush back to the AFC North, signing the former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker to a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bush was the Steelers' first-round pick in 2019, spending four seasons in Pittsburgh after being selected 10th overall. Bush started his NFL career strong, making an impact on the team's defense his rookie season, but after an ACL injury his second year, he was never able to get back to where Pittsburgh hoped he would.

The team decided not to pick up his fifth-year option, allowing him to hit free agency last season, where he signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks.

He finished his career in Pittsburgh playing in 52 games for the Steelers, including 48 starts, recording 286 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, 13 passes defended, two forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

He played in 13 games for the Seahawks last season, recording 37 tackles and five tackles for loss.

He'll now join Cleveland with hopes of replacing Anthony Walker Jr., who signed with the Miami Dolphins. He'll also get an opportunity to meet his former team twice this season.
