Mason Rudolph Sets Steelers Passing Record

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback put his name in the record books.

PITTSBURGH -- Mason Rudolph has helped turn the Pittsburgh Steelers' season around, and heading into the final day of the regular season, the team is back in the playoff hunt with a chance to make the postseason.

In just three games, Rudolph has found more success through the air than any other quarterback over the last two seasons. And in his Week 18 showing against the Baltimore Ravens, he made Steelers history.

Rudolph finished his Week 18 performance by completing 18 of 20 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown. With 90% of his passes completed, he set a franchise record for the highest completion percentage in a game with a minimum of 15 passes.

The previous high for the Steelers was set by Mike Tomczak (88.2%) in 1998.

With Rudolph as their leader, the Steelers will have their eyes glued to two games on the final day of the regular season to see if they make the playoffs. As of now, it's unknown if Rudolph will continue to start for Pittsburgh, but after posting the highest passer ratings of the season in three consecutive games, it's hard to believe the team would make a quarterback change heading into the playoffs.
