Former Steelers OL Signs Massive Deal With Rams

The former Pittsburgh Steelers guard signed a huge deal with his second NFL contract.

PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers guard Kevin Dotson has signed a massive deal with the Los Angeles Rams, keeping him in LA after a successful season, according to Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz.

Dotson and the Rams agreed to a three-year deal worth $48 million after his single season in Los Angeles. He was traded from Pittsburgh prior to the start of the regular season, earning the starting job on the West Coast. Afterward, he quickly became one of the best guards in the NFL, earning himself a major payday with his second contract.

Dotson, 27, started 30 games in Pittsburgh during his first three years in the league. He played on the left side of the Steelers' offensive line after playing the right side in college, and never seemed to get over the mental errors that came with a side change. After a few ankle injuries and some costly penalties, the team signed Isaac Seumalo, who overtook the starting spot, making Dotson available for trade.

The team got a 2024 fourth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick in exchange for Dotson, a 2024 fifth-round pick and a 2025 sixth-round pick.

Dotson started 14 games this season, playing 95% of the Rams offensive snaps. Once in LA, he transitioned back to the right guard spot.
