Steelers Could Land Stars in Free Agency
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers watched the rest of the NFL release some of their biggest names, adding to an already loaded free agency pool only days before the open market begins.
And for the Steelers, they're loving every second of it.
As of now, Pittsburgh could go land a star safety of their choosing and have a few All-Pros to choose from - including a name that was released coming off one of his best seasons. They want to add a big name next to Minkah Fitzpatrick, and there are three who fit the bill perfectly.
They also have options at cornerback, with two guys standing tall on the list. Instead of trading for L'Jarius Sneed or Jaylon Johnson, the Steelers could sign a veteran with plenty of success and have them in the mix with a rookie alongside Joey Porter Jr.
At linebacker, there is one name who was recently release that just makes too much sense. Immediately, he was expected to join Pittsburgh as his next NFL home, and that expectation has only gone up.
And there is one name on the open market who All Steelers has been told is on the team's radar. It's a splash signing, and one that could solve their defensive line troubles.
