NASHVILLE – Friday, Corey Davis was listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against Kansas City.

The doubts increased Saturday when the Tennessee Titans promoted wide receiver Cody Hollister from the practice squad to the active roster. To make room for Hollister, guard Aaron Stinnie was released.

Davis, the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, did not practice Wednesday, Thursday or Friday because of a hip injury. He has played 34 straight games since a hamstring issue sidelined him early in his rookie season. This season, he has been targeted more than any other Titans receiver (45 times) but is second on the team with 28 receptions for 374 yards and two touchdowns.

Three other high-profile players – defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, tight end Delanie Walker, inside linebacker Jayon Brown – already had been ruled out for Sunday with the release of Friday’s injury report.

Hollsiter, undrafted out of Arkansas, joined the Titans this season after two years with the New England Patriots, one on the practice squad and one on injured reserve. He was the Titans’ second-leading receiver during the preseason with nine receptions for 123 yards and was one of seven Tennessee players with a touchdown reception.

He has never appeared in an NFL regular season contest.

Stinnie was released and signed to the practice squad at the end of the preseason but was promoted to the active roster prior to the regular-season opener when injuries created depth concerns on the offensive line. He appeared in the first three contests but has been inactive for the past six.

The Titans (4-5) face the Chiefs (6-3) Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
