FanDuel Quarterback Rankings Place Titans' Will Levis Last in NFL, Behind 5 Future Draft Picks

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis put up decent numbers in his rookie season despite working with a thin wide receiver corps and a porous offensive line, but online sports book FanDuel has a low regard for his future.

NASHVILLE — Will Levis, the presumptive Tennessee Titans quarterback of the future, is getting no love at all in offseason rankings.

In its "way too early 2024 quarterback ranking" on Twitter, the online sports book FanDuel has judged that among the 32 NFL starting quarterbacks, Levis is last.

Sure. Several other football sites put Levis in their bottom fives, but FanDuel also rates Levis behind five future draft picks. Ouch.

Hot takes are part of the discourse during the offseason, but this judgment seems premature.

The good news for Levis is that the Titans will have opportunities to bolster the offensive line and receiver core in the April NFL Draft and possibly next month in free agency. Plus, two highly regarded offensive thinkers — Titans coach Brian Callahan and offensive coordinator Nick Holz — will take over Levis' career development.

"The first thing that kind of jumped off is obviously the arm talent," Holz said during his introductory press conference earlier this month. "And then the second thing I would say that really jumps off is the toughness. I think we talk about, for quarterbacks, really the three things we're looking for is decision-making, accuracy, and toughness, and you saw all that.

"I'm sure he would say he probably wants to improve in some of those areas and things like that. But you can see that baseline there for him of that those skills are there. And so, I think it's a reason what made this job probably so attractive to Brian (Callahan) and probably the rest of us."

Levis completed 58.4% of his passes for 1,808 yards, with eight touchdowns and four interceptions. He started nine games and had a passer rating of 84.2. All in all, decent numbers for a rookie thrust into a starting role behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.
