It's almost time for football.

The 7-1 Vikings and the 6-2 Bills are all set for action at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. This is a huge matchup between two of the six teams in the NFL with two or fewer losses this season. Both the Vikings and Bills come into this game looking to prove themselves against another top-tier team in the league.

It looks like Bills quarterback Josh Allen will start, despite a week-long mystery after he injured his elbow last Sunday. Allen and Case Keenum are the only QBs active for Buffalo. Allen ran out onto the field with the offense during the second part of pre-game warmups and took snaps from starting center Mitch Morse, which seems to indicate that he'll start.

If that's the case, the Vikings' defense is in for a major challenge. Allen is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the NFL, a dual threat with rare size, athleticism, and arm talent. In former Viking Stefon Diggs, he has an elite No. 1 target who he looks for early and often.

When the Vikings have the ball, things won't be much easier. The Bills have an excellent defense, although they'll be without starters Jordan Poyer, Greg Rousseau, Tre'Davious White, and Kaiir Elam. The Bills have also been susceptible to the run over their last two games.

Final Score: Vikings 33, Bills 30

Patrick Peterson sealed the Minnesota victory with his second interception of the game. That was one of the best games I've ever seen.

Overtime

Vikings 33, Bills 30

3:45 — Greg Joseph kicks a field goal to put the Vikings on top. Josh Allen gets a chance.

Fourth quarter

Vikings 30, Bills 30

0:00 — Bills get a field goal. Overtime.

Vikings 30, Bills 27

0:49 — Unbelievable. The Vikings didn't get the QB sneak on fourth and goal, but Josh Allen mishandled the snap on the next play and Eric Kendricks recovered it in the end zone. Vikings take the lead.

2:00 — Justin Jefferson just made one of the most amazing catches I've ever seen on fourth and long. The Vikings are alive.

Bills 27, Vikings 23

4:34 — The Vikings cut it to one score on a C.J. Ham touchdown run, but Greg Joseph misses the extra point. That could loom large. The Vikings also have just one timeout remaining.

10:27 — Once again, the Vikings have life. Patrick Peterson just picked off Josh Allen in the end zone and ran it back to the 39. Minnesota's offense can make it a one-score game again with points.

Third quarter

0:00 — Stefon Diggs just made an unbelievable leaping one-handed grab to move the chains on 3rd and 15. That could be a massive play.

Bills 27, Vikings 17

1:34 — That helps. Dalvin Cook just took a handoff on the Vikings' first play and raced 81 yards to the house. Some life for Minnesota.

Bills 27, Vikings 10

1:51 — The Bills add onto their lead with a field goal. It's going to take a miraculous comeback now.

10:44 — The Vikings come up with a big stop thanks to a sack by Za'Darius Smith, who is up to 9.5 this season.

12:22 — Well then. Kirk Cousins just panicked and threw an interception directly to Dane Jackson. That's a killer mistake.

Second quarter

Bills 24, Vikings 10

0:28 — Josh Allen is always going to make you pay for missed opportunities. He makes it look so easy. The Bills just drove 71 yards in five plays and scored on an Allen touchdown pass to Gabe Davis.

1:53 — The Vikings faced 3rd and 1 and threw it twice in a row. Incomplete and incomplete. Bills take over. That's a massive missed opportunity.

3:28 — Huge play. Akayleb Evans puts his helmet on the ball and forces a Devin Singletary fumble, which stood after review. Cam Bynum scooped it up and ran for 40 yards to put the Vikings in great position.

Bills 17, Vikings 10

7:12 — The Vikings come up with a decent response, driving down and kicking a short field goal. Cousins converted two third downs on the drive, but couldn't connect with T.J. Hockenson in the back of the end zone.

Bills 17, Vikings 7

12:53 — The Vikings nearly come away with an interception on a tipped ball, but can't corral it. Still, that was a much-needed stop in the red zone to hold Buffalo to 3.

First quarter

0:00 — This has gone south for the Vikings very quickly. Kirk Cousins just threw a pick over the middle of the field on a high throw intended for K.J. Osborn. The Bills are already back in the red zone.

Bills 14, Vikings 7

1:04 — The Bills appear to be good at football. They just marched 70 yards down the field on 10 plays and scored on another Singletary rushing touchdown. The Vikings' defense doesn't have any answers for Josh Allen and company so far.

6:13 — The Vikings' second drive didn't go as well as their first. Kirk Cousins tripped over Ed Ingram on the first play, and third down ended with Dalvin Cook a yard short of the line to gain.

Vikings 7, Bills 7

8:10 — The Bills respond immediately. They got a huge kickoff return, a horse collar penalty, and a big run from Devin Singletary to get near the end zone. Then Singletary punched it in for his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Vikings 7, Bills 0

10:13 — The Vikings strike first, as they always do. After getting a stop on the Bills' first possession, the Vikings drove down and scored. Justin Jefferson did most of the work, catching a 46-yard pass on third down and a 22-yard touchdown. He's extremely good.
